Childrens Book

I am interested in writing children's books, prior to venturing out into the paper world, I thought I'd try the virtual world first. Any feed back of whether you would read the content would be really kind. The material is meant to ease children into reading with the help of adults, and the subject matter generally pertains to age groups 3-6 years old. Thanks

My Friend Abigail

Sometimes kids come home and are upset that their usual friend did not play with them. It is difficult at times to explain to a four or five year old, that tomorrow will be completely different but with this story of Abigail (A bigggg pink Hippo) they can perhaps see that tomorrow will be a better day and their usual friend will play with them again.

My Friend Abigail

I have a friend, a real good friend.
Her name is Abigail.

She plays with me, and shares with me.
I like her very much.

She gives me hugs, and she gives me kisses.
She loves the color pink.

Today Abigail would not play with me.
I asked her why, and she just turned away.

It made me sad, I did not know what to do.
I want my friend, my real good friend,
to come and play with me.

I sat on a bench and waited for so long.
Until Abigail came and stood in front of me.

I was still sad, and looked away.
She squeezed real tight, and gave me
a grand hug.

I felt happy,
and my friend,
was a friend to me again.

A Wonderful Rainy Day

As mama and I walk to school.
I feel the rain drops on my face.

I don't like rainy days.
It's wet and cold outside.

Mama says rainy days are special,
and there will be a prize.

She does not tell me what it will be.
I wonder all day long.

The bell has rang, it is time to go home.
Mama is outside waiting for me.

I ask what is the prize?
Is it a new doll?

Mama tells me to look in the sky,
look through all the fluffy white clouds.

There it is, I am so excited!
A beautiful rainbow.

Full of magical colors.
Indeed a real prize, that you can not buy.
On this wonderful rainy day.
