I am interested in writing children's books, prior to venturing out into the paper world, I thought I'd try the virtual world first. Any feed back of whether you would read the content would be really kind. The material is meant to ease children into reading with the help of adults, and the subject matter generally pertains to age groups 3-6 years old. Thanks

A Wonderful Rainy Day

As mama and I walk to school.
I feel the rain drops on my face.

I don't like rainy days.
It's wet and cold outside.

Mama says rainy days are special,
and there will be a prize.

She does not tell me what it will be.
I wonder all day long.

The bell has rang, it is time to go home.
Mama is outside waiting for me.

I ask what is the prize?
Is it a new doll?

Mama tells me to look in the sky,
look through all the fluffy white clouds.

There it is, I am so excited!
A beautiful rainbow.

Full of magical colors.
Indeed a real prize, that you can not buy.
On this wonderful rainy day.

This is Beautiful! Shows how a child learns about other special things in their environment besides toys and materialistic materials. I highly enjoyed reading this!

How wonderful! :)

One small suggestion...

Since the poem is from a child's perspective, perhaps it would be better to use age appropriate words (indeed is not a word many young children use). Just a thought to keep in mind.
